I Pity You, But Give You Thanks  — Free Verse Spoken Word

I pity you, in your deep angst.
I pity you: I give you thanks

Creative freedom: you’ll never know
what it means to thrive.

And show the world that you
create work for.

That well of freedom, creative bore.
Your hatred will never win.

In your deep angst, in your deep sin,
I pity you: in all your hate.

I pity you that I berate:
that you attack me for my craft: spreading love.

But why do attack people who make art
and writing.

And books and more.
What do you do it, do it for?

There is no reason: give it a rest.
Be creative, be blessed

And stop this hatred: stop it now.
Stop this worry upon your brow

I pity you, in your deep angst.
I pity you, and I give you thanks.
