A luminous, almond-shaped eye rises out of a deep blue-green ground, ringed in vivid red and edged with a band of electric chartreuse, its inner iris a fine web of ink lines cradling a small burst of orange, blue and gold at the centre. The palette takes its cue from Ezekiel's vision of wheels full of eyes lit by fire, amber, crystal and the colours of the rainbow, and the whole image sits somewhere between the seen eye and the seeing one. Hand-made throughout in Japanese ink, Montblanc ink and Faber-Castell pencil on paper. Each print in the series is paired with its own improvised piano piece, recorded live and unedited.
